Background
Western International School of Shanghai (WISS) is the first and only school in mainland China to offer all four International Baccalaureate programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the International Baccalaureate Diploma (DP) and the Career-related Programme (CP). Class sizes are small, with a maximum of 20 students per class. The average class size is 18 students.
WISS has an excellent extra-curricular programme. Sports are emphasised but there are also plenty of creative-, language- and community-based activities available.
Applications are accepted year-round. Admissions are competitive and are subject to limitations according to maximum class size. Various scholarship and funding opportunities are available.
