Raffles International School (RIS) has a student body of approximately 1,400 with students from numerous countries around the world. The school is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is a Cambridge International Examination Board Center (CIE). RIS has a robust English as a Second Language (ESL) infrastructure to support non-English speakers. This means that fluent English is not an admission requirement.

There are also various mother-tongue programmes available to help students maintain their home language while learning English. A number of sport and cultural extra-curricular activities are available, ranging from tennis, swimming, and football to drama, painting, and music.
