Background
Brescia House is one of the leading girls' schools in the country, and has an excellent reputation among expat and South African parents alike. The curriculum and ethos is geared toward the Catholic faith, but the school accepts students from other faith groups. The school has a low student-to-teacher ratio and an extensive support network of occupational, remedial and speech therapists. Facilities include an aquatic complex with a heated swimming pool as well as sport-specific fields and courts. The school regularly produces top performers in diving, swimming, hockey and athletics among other sports, and Brescia girls regularly win local competitions in public speaking, debating and drama.
